PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

Flex-Flash® is a 40-mil thick, polyester scrim-reinforced flashing formulated with Elvaloy® Kee for exceptional durability. It resists UV degradation, drooling, and chemical attack, making it ideal for thru-wall and surface-mount applications at sills, projections, and other moisture-prone locations.

Key Features:
  • Pressure-sensitive adhesive that won’t leach under UV or heat.
  • Excellent impact and tear resistance; maintains flexibility in all climates.
  • Highly resistant to oils and most chemicals; compatible with most silicone and urethane sealants.
  • Pre-formed corners and end dams available.
Installation Guidance:
  • Clean, dry substrate for best adhesion.
  • Extend beyond wall face and cut flush with brick for proper moisture control.
  • Use H&B Primer SA and secure with Termination Bars for enhanced adhesion.
Sealant Compatibility:

Compatible with many silicone, polyether, and urethane sealants — verify with sealant manufacturer.

Recommended Sealants:
  • Polyether: H&B HB Sealant
  • Silicones: Dow Corning 790, 791, 795 (dark colors) w/1200 Prime Coat; G.E. Silpruf w/SS4179; Pecora 864NST, 890NST, 895NST w/AVB or P-120; Tremco Spectrum 2 w/#10 primer
  • Urethanes: SIKA Sikaflex-1A w/#260-205 primer; Sonneborn Sonolastic NP1 w/#733 primer
