Hohmann & Barnard's Standard Backer Rod is a non-absorbent, compressible material used to control sealant depth, create a backstop for tooling, ensure proper sealing of joint surfaces, and establish a sound bond between the sealant and backup material. It may also be used as a temporary joint seal.
